Boakye Agyarko Courts Central Region NPP Executives, Calls for Unity Ahead of 2028

CAPE COAST/WINNEBA — Prospective National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Boakye Agyarko, has intensified his nationwide campaign tour with engagements involving regional and constituency executives of the party in the Central Region, where he underscored the need for unity, discipline and strategic reforms to position the party for future electoral success.
The first meeting, held in Cape Coast, brought together Regional Executives and representatives from several constituencies, including Upper Denkyira West, Upper Denkyira East, Twifo Atti Morkwa, Hemang Lower Denkyira, Cape Coast North, Cape Coast South, Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem, Assin North, Assin South, Assin Central, Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese, Mfantseman, Ekumfi and Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Agyarko stressed the importance of fostering unity and discipline within the party while improving the welfare of party executives and members. He noted that strategic reforms would be essential in rebuilding the party and enhancing its prospects of returning to power in the 2028 general elections and beyond.

A second session was held in Winneba, bringing together executives from Gomoa West, Gomoa East, Gomoa Central, Agona West, Agona East, Effutu, Awutu Senya West, Awutu Senya East and Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa constituencies.
During the engagement, Mr. Agyarko reiterated his commitment to working closely with Mahamudu Bawumia and all stakeholders of the party to strengthen its structures and improve its electoral fortunes.

He also made a passionate appeal for reconciliation within the party, urging members to forgive one another and put aside their differences in the collective interest of the NPP.
“We must unite, reconcile and focus on the bigger goal of rebuilding a stronger party capable of winning future elections,” he told the executives.
Speaking on behalf of the party in the region, Percy Dennis Quaicoo, Central Regional Chairman of the NPP, assured Mr. Agyarko of the region’s support. He praised the chairman hopeful for his loyalty, dedication and sacrifices to the party over the years, expressing confidence in his ability to contribute to the party’s growth and reorganisation.

Mr. Agyarko was accompanied on the tour by Campaign Manager, Henry Quartey, and other members of his campaign team.
The engagements formed part of Mr. Agyarko’s ongoing nationwide consultations with party executives and grassroots members as he seeks support for his bid to become the next National Chairman of the NPP.
