New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman hopeful, Boakye Agyarko, has paid a courtesy call on former Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia, as part of efforts to advance his bid for the top party position.
The meeting, which took place on May Day, offered Mr Agyarko the opportunity to commend Dr Bawumia for what he described as his dedicated service to both the NPP and the country.
Discussions during the engagement centred on the future direction of the party and strategic preparations towards the 2028 general elections.

Mr Agyarko, who was accompanied by members of his campaign team, formally informed the former Vice President of his intention to embark on a nationwide tour as part of his campaign for the National Chairman position.
He also reaffirmed his support for Dr Bawumia, underscoring the importance of unity within the NPP to secure victory in the next general elections.
As part of his campaign rollout, Mr Agyarko is expected to commence his nationwide tour in the Ashanti Region next week, where he will engage party executives, grassroots supporters and key stakeholders on his vision for the party.
