The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, together with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), has paid a courtesy call on the Oti Regional Minister, Hon. John Kwadwo Gyapong, as part of the Police Administration’s working visit to the region.
During the meeting, Hon. Gyapong commended the Ghana Police Service for its efforts in maintaining peace and security in the region, particularly in the fight against armed robbery and other criminal activities.
He appealed for the deployment of more police personnel and the provision of additional operational vehicles to strengthen policing operations in the region.
The Regional Minister also urged the Police to remain firm and resolute in dealing with all forms of crime to ensure the continued safety and security of residents.
In his remarks, the IGP assured the Regional Minister of the Police Administration’s continued support for the region and reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
Mr Yohuno noted that the Police Service had a strong presence on the ground and would continue to intensify its efforts to combat crime and bring perpetrators to justice.
